Privacy policy

On HTTPS pages, the extension identifies and sends the site’s registrable domain, such as example.com, to the GPT Coupons backend to determine whether coupon codes are available. We do not transmit the full page URL, page content, cart contents, checkout forms, account credentials, payment information, cookies, or keystrokes.

The extension stores a random installation identifier on your device. It is sent when you request a coupon search or report that a code worked so we can limit abuse and prevent duplicate requests or votes.

We also record anonymous extension interactions, such as opening the popup, showing or dismissing the coupon alert, copying a code, requesting a search, and reporting that a code worked. These events include the store domain but are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.

We use this information to return coupons for the current store, research a merchant when requested, record shopper feedback, prevent abuse, troubleshoot reliability, and understand whether the coupon experience is useful.

A requested merchant search may send the merchant domain to OpenAI so an automated research process can search public web sources for coupon codes. It does not send the contents of the page you were viewing.

We use Convex for backend services and data storage, PostHog for anonymous product analytics, OpenAI for user-requested public-web merchant research, and Vercel to host the GPT Coupons website. These providers process information only to deliver their services to GPT Coupons.

Information is sent over HTTPS. We limit access to the systems needed to operate GPT Coupons and retain records only as long as reasonably needed for coupon research, feedback integrity, security, analytics, and legal obligations. You can request deletion by contacting us.

We do not sell extension data, use it for advertising, transfer it for credit or lending decisions, or use it for a purpose unrelated to finding and improving coupon codes.

GPT Coupons uses data obtained through Chrome extension permissions only to provide and improve its disclosed coupon-finding purpose. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. Our use and transfer of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
